Always run a robotic cleaner from a properly functioning GFCI-protected outlet, keep power supplies dry and out of standing water, and never bypass a tripping GFCI or any safety device. Unplug before you touch the impeller or open any housing. Swimmers should be out of the pool while a corded robot runs, and children should never handle a powered robot. If a repair involves mains wiring, stop and call a licensed electrician.
